Our delicious aged Fig Balsamic Vinegar is handcrafted in small batches on the Willow Creek Olive Estate in the picturesque Nuy Valley in the Western Cape, South Africa, using only the finest natural ingredients.
Plump and flavourful Parisian Figs grown on the Willow Creek Olive Estate are juiced and sweetened with grape must and then fermented in oak barrels to produce this exceptional Fig Balsamic Vinegar. A slow and delicate age-old process of conversion from wine to vinegar which defines the art of superior artisan vinegar making.
This mixture of rich, fruity fig and light, tangy balsamic creates a superbly balanced vinegar that will “dance” on your taste buds and linger on your palate.
Our Fig Balsamic Vinegar adds a great depth of flavour that works exceptionally well with desserts, meat and salads. Use it lavishly with Willow Creek’s extra virgin olive oils to dress salads and enhance fruit and cheese desserts like berry compote and panna cotta. It also makes a delicious marinade for chicken, beef or pork and adds an exquisite “dash of flavour” to roasted vegetables. Allow the flavour to challenge your creativity!
