DESCRIPTION

Our delicious aged Pomegranate Balsamic Vinegar is handcrafted in small batches on the Willow Creek Olive Estate in the picturesque Nuy Valley in the Western Cape, South Africa, using only the finest natural ingredients.

Ripe and flavourful pomegranates are juiced and sweetened with grape must and then fermented in oak barrels to produce this exceptional Pomegranate Balsamic Vinegar. A slow and delicate age-old process of conversion from wine to vinegar which defines the art of superior artisan vinegar making.

FLAVOUR PROFILE

Native to the Mediterranean, Middle East and Asia, this “most ancient of fruits” exhibits deep rich flavours and acidity to create a complex yet superbly balanced dressing and condiment that lingers on the palate.

FOOD

The sweet-tart flavour of our delicious Pomegranate Balsamic Vinegar is a perfect accompaniment to a wide range of foods. Use it lavishly with Willow Creek’s extra virgin olive oils to dress salads, as a glaze for duck and pork, and to enhance desserts like pavlova and fruit. Slowly simmer equal amounts of Pomegranate Balsamic Vinegar and red wine until you have a rich thick finishing sauce for pork or lamb. Allow the flavour to challenge your creativity!
